Biography
Dr Tam Quinn(MED0001217095) Registered Medical Practitioner, Specialist Plastic Surgeon (specialist registration in Surgery-plastic surgery)
Dr Tam Quinn graduated from Monash University in 2008 before undergoing specialty training in both general surgery and plastic surgery, during which she rotated through a number of hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
In 2020 she was recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Following this, she undertook further subspecialty training in Burns surgery at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. She also completed a fellowship in Head and Neck surgery and reconstruction at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney, one of the busiest and highly regarded head and neck units in Australia. During her time in Sydney, she was also involved in the treatment of melanoma patients and regularly attended meetings at the Melanoma Institute of Australia. Tam is a strong believer in the importance of a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to the management of both burns and cancer patients.
Tam is passionate about teaching and is the medical student supervisor at Eastern Health as well as an instructor for the Emergency Management of Severe Burns course, and is frequently involved in workshops at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Tam has public appointments at Box Hill Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Alfred Hospital.
