The Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists (ASCD) held their very much anticipated ASCD
Symposium from 25-27 February at the Crown Conference Centre. Their mission is to foster, equalise
access and improve training in cosmetic dermatology for all Australasian dermatologists and
registrars and, more broadly, to share dermatologist’s expertise with other disciplines.
Dr. Frank Lin of EST Clinic provided an in-depth presentation on the aspiration manoeuvre and stability of position. In relation to injectables, aspiration consists of drawing back once the needle has been inserted.
Dr Lin also gave a presentation on HIFEM+ and RF in body contouring.
